Mercedes-Benz N1000 Kastenwagen, 1977

Van Mercedes-Benz N1000 began in Spain in 1975, however, this model is known to the company had no relationship. Yet since 1963 the plant IMOSA in the Spanish city of Vitoria has produced, under license, front-wheel drive commercial vehicle DKW F1000, and after the company has teamed up with the local branch of Daimler-Benz, the car just changed the logo and name. Thus, N1000 was the first front-wheel drive «Mercedes» in the history.

Later the car had higher gross weight version of the Mercedes-Benz N1300, its production continued until 1986. It is noteworthy that in Germany the car is officially delivered. In 1981 appeared an upgraded version of the model with index MB.
