The Mercedes-Benz F100 was unveiled at the 1991 North American Auto Show as the company's vision for the cars of the future. The purpose of the concept car was to demonstrate innovative innovations in control systems, safety, ergonomics, design and comfort of passenger cars.

The model received: a four-stroke six-cylinder engine with a volume of 2.6 liters. spark ignition, 143 kW (194 hp), front-wheel drive, 3-speed automatic transmission. Key changes to the car's appearance were new doors, a solar roof (generating about 100 watts) and xenon low beam headlights. The F100 received a non-standard layout - the minivan could accommodate five people, including the driver, who sat in the middle, which, according to the company's engineers, provided the best view.

Technological solutions demonstrated in the F100 were subsequently used in production models of Mercedes-Benz.

As of 2015, the concept car is in the Mercedes-Benz Museum.
