Mercedes-Benz Typ 260D – the world's first serial car with a diesel engine. The car was presented in 1936 at the International exhibition of motorcycles and cars in Berlin, and by 1940 it was sold 1967 copies. Mercedes-Benz type 260D was equipped with a 2.6-liter four-cylinder diesel engine with a capacity of 45 horsepower.
