For the tactical unit of the Hong Kong Police, Centigon Security Group from France has prepared a batch of armored Mercedes-Benz Unimog U5000 4x4. The cost of the work was 9 million Hong Kong dollars per vehicle. The machines were delivered to the divisions in 2009.
The result is an ideal vehicle with improved off-road performance and a sufficiently high level of protection, tested in the independent laboratory Beschussamt Mellrichstadt.
The cargo compartment is separated from the driver's cab. The compartment is designed to carry up to 10 employees of special forces units in full gear. Also in this car, the modular principle of accommodating a variety of special-purpose equipment is implemented in accordance with the tasks and goals of the special operations of the Hong Kong Police.
